Since 2014, AIR has developed a list of colleges and universities for Money’s College Rankings, an annual consumer-facing tool. The aims of the project are to develop an accurate, comprehensive list of colleges and universities to inform students and their families about quality, affordable, and high-value college options.

Report

In collaboration with Money Magazine, researchers from AIR analyzed and ranked U.S. bachelor’s-degree granting institutions based on their quality (e.g., six-year graduation rate; value-added graduation rate), affordability (e.g., net price; debt), and value (e.g., earnings; social mobility) to help families navigate the postsecondary decision-making process.

Report

This technical report describes the statistical analyses conducted by AIR, including value-added modeling, to produce the database of colleges that the client uses when applying the final weights and producing the website of ranked colleges.
